About
I am passionate about writing, friendship, athletics, and animals. After earning a degree in the medical sciences, I traveled the world as a gymnastics coach.
My desire to serve at-risk youth and underrepresented populations in the medical and education fields motivated me to complete a PhD. I enjoy life in Southwest Florida with my rescue dogs and cat, Pippin, Archibald and Didgeridoo.
I have published research articles in peer reviewed journals; however, The House That Love Built, is my most cherished work. This heart-felt poem was written during the complete destruction of my home due to Hurricane Irma in 2017.
Themes of tenacity, resiliency and hope inspired my 2023 debut fiction novel, She’ll Be Right. Inspired by true events, Isabella, a young teen, loses her home, friends and money. Determined to succeed, she embarks on an exciting, but arduous path to womanhood.
